The main event
The full course — classroom instruction, written exam, and the state range qualification — taught in person here in Del Rio, usually on a weekend morning starting at 9am.
Can't do a Saturday?
The classroom portion is available online, 24/7, at your own pace. Finish it whenever your schedule allows, then message me and we set up a range day to get you qualified.
Shift work, deployments, a newborn at home, a job that eats every weekend — none of that should be the reason you put this off another year. Do the reading at 11pm in your recliner. Show up to the range when you're ready.
The online course covers the classroom hours and the written portion. The range qualification is scheduled separately with me and charged separately — that charge covers range use, your target, ammunition, and a rental firearm if you need one.

Never done this before
If you have never fired a handgun in your life, you are not behind. You are exactly who this class was built for.
I have successfully instructed and taught thousands of new students how to carry with confidence. Nervous is normal. Nervous is fine. What we do about it is start at the beginning — grip, stance, sight picture, trigger press, safe handling — before anybody worries about a scorecard.
Basic training is included at no extra cost. Other instructors will make you pay $200 before you even take the LTC course. That has never sat right with me.
No firearm yet?
Do not go buy a handgun just to take this class. Come qualify on a rental, put rounds through a few different guns, and figure out what actually fits your hand before you spend a dime at the counter.
The range qualification charge covers range use, your target, ammunition, and the rental firearm if you need one. Message me and I'll break down exactly what your situation costs.
A Glock 43 is a single-stack 9mm and a genuinely practical everyday carry gun. Bigger hands? A 43X is about an inch longer in the grip and also a great choice. Shoot both.

Wade's Tactical is fully equipped to handle coachable children learning proper firearms safety. My own son started young, supervised, doing it right.

Pistol optics are cool, okay. We also install them, sight them in, and teach you how to shoot fast and not suck with one.
Mounted correctly, torqued, and actually zeroed — then range time learning to find the dot fast instead of hunting for it. An optic you can't run under pressure is jewelry.
